GOAL: $4,000/ MONTH
Our monthly operating budget is $4,000, which includes salaries for both the trainers and tailors. This covers two cohorts per year of 20 women per intake.
Our goal is 100 individual sponsors with donations of $50 each per month. Operating expenses include but are not limited to house payment/rent, utilities (water, internet, electric), meals, amenities/personal hygiene, medical care, sewing supplies, and training materials.
ANNUAL SALARY: $35,000
TRAVEL: $6100
FAMILY MEDICAL: $2000
As the Executive Director of Imani Program, Keziah works full time managing the cohort’s day-to-day needs as well as the widow’s care program. She seeks to raise support for her annual salary of $35,000 as she continues to serve full time in this ministry. The travel budget will assist in facilitating her travel between the young ladies at Imani House and the widows in Kinangop which is a about an hour and a half drive through the mountains. It will also provide for fundraising trips.
The unique and powerful aspect of Imani House that differs from a traditional method of vocational training is that it imparts leadership which is directly involved with every aspect of the program.
Keziah works with the tailors and trainers to make sure each student is progressing in their skills, but also focuses on mentoring the girls by giving them a biblical foundation as well as socio-emotional tools to make good choices long after they graduate from Imani Program. Her care and mentorship of these women is a big part of the success of the program to date.
We know that poverty alleviation must address the root issues. Keziah's salary + travel + medical insurance will allow her to continue to focus fully on all aspects of this vital program without needing to explore additional employment elsewhere.

The Imani Storefront + Uniform Production Unit is a sustainable vision aimed at ensuring that our students are integrated into our business model training. Our region is home to over 150 schools. Sewing uniforms and selling to these schools will create jobs for our students. These women will be able to earn a salary, grow their skills, and may eventually set up their own businesses to create employment in various towns where they identify this niche and opportunity.
To achieve this goal, land will be purchased and a new building will be constructed. There will be a storefront to sell uniforms as well as the production unit in the back where Imani graduates may be employed to sew uniforms.
