Founded in 2021, the Imani Women Empowerment Program is a nonprofit organization with the goal of equipping young women in life and trade skills. Teenage pregnancies in Kenya have contributed to the rise of poverty and the increase in street families.By empowering the next generation of young women with vocational skills and business training, the cycle of poverty and hopelessness can be broken. By creating self employment opportunities and jobs, these young women are able to provide for their futures and for their children’s basic needs.
Our mission is to provide vocational training, education, and emotional support to women affected by challenges such as early pregnancies, HIV/AIDS, and poverty.
By offering practical skills in tailoring (current program), we help young women gain the tools they need to build sustainable livelihoods and support their families. Future training programs may include, but are not limited to jewelry making, beauty, computer skills, and more!
We provide hands-on training in tailoring, jewelry making, and beauty to empower young women with marketable skills.
Our programs raise awareness and educate communities about HIV/AIDS to promote healthier lifestyles and reduce stigma.
We offer counseling and mental health support to help women navigate personal challenges and build resilience.
